Chez Freddie Accommodation

Originally a traditional farm house with outbuildings typical of the Poitou-Charentes region, Chez Freddie´s main house has been extended and renovated to a very high standard. The house is fully centrally heated.

The owner´s house is a cottage attached to an old bread oven, across the way from the main house.

The first floor

All bedrooms are on the first floor, and have full en-suite facilities.

The ground floor also has a bathroom with bath/shower and WC.

The garden

The garden covers approximately 5000m² (1.5 acres). The lawn in front of the main house is shaded by lime and willow trees, and is used in warm weather for eating out.

The swimming pool is 11x5 metres with roman steps, and is 1.5 metres deep throughout.

Sun-loungers are available on the patio surrounding the swimming pool, a real sun trap in warm weather, and there are changing facilities, a shower and WC in the adjoining pool house.

Next to the pool is a level playing area for badminton, volleyball or football (equipment provided). Boules, table tennis, table football, darts and bicycles are also available for guests’ use.

A barbecue is available for guests to use.

The river Boutonne runs past the far end of the garden, which is fully fenced. A punt for 6-8 people can be hired for fishing or for short trips down the river.

Secure garaging for motorbikes and bicycles

Secure, under-cover garaging can be provided for guests arriving with motorbikes or bicycles.
